Event Calender
Sea Breeze Inn calendar of events for
some of the surrounding area. Wildlife abounds in the
region. Look for herds of zebra, tahr goats, aoudads,
and elk roaming the hills of the Hearst Estate - a reminder
of the days when Mr. Hearst assembled the largest private
zoo in the world. North of Sea Breeze Inn is an expanding
breeding area for elephant seals. Friends of the Elephant
Seals has an office located next door to the San Simeon
Chamber of Commerce. Their website is www.elephantseal.org In
the calendar of events below you can chart the year round
activities of this active rookerie.
San
Simeon Bar and Grill offers Karaoke every Fridy
and Saturday at 9:00 PM in the lounge. Salsa disco
with DJ on Friday nights. Located 1/8 mile north
the Sea Breeze Inn on Highway One.
January
Female elephant seals continue to arrive on the shoreline.
Peak of births usually are the last half of the month.
February
Elephant seal births continue. The peak of mating is
around Valentine's Day. More females leave.
March
Last adult elephant seals leave.
April
Female and juvenile elephant seals return to molt.
May
Female and juvenile elephant seals molt. May. 22nd annual Paso

Sub-adult male elephant seal return to molt.
